I wanted to let you know how pleased I am with the Umatilla Library. The ladies who work there are always pleasant, knowledgeable and go out of their way to help me, without exception.

Usually there are 10-15 unsupervised youngsters in the library when I visit, but they are well-behaved and under control. I suspect it’s because the librarians seem to know them all by name and most likely their families, as well.

Your web site has come a long way and is easy to access and very user-friendly.

Can you send me any information about volunteering or perhaps employment at the Umatilla Library?

Lake County Library System has many volunteer opportunities in our 14 libraries. We encourage you to inquire at your local library about their specific needs. Lake County also has VolunteerLake which provides citizens the opportunities to use their knowledge, vigor, expertise and desire to benefit Lake County and themselves through volunteering.
